Acupuncture: the healing art of alternative medicine

Acupuncture is a medicine that is more than 2000 years old. Acupuncture diagnostics and classification of disease states is based on a different medical system than Western university medicine, namely on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM is characterized by an individual understanding of the patient and his/her illness. The aim of each treatment is to activate the healing powers by inserting needles at specific points throughout the body and thus restore inner balance so that disorders and diseases can be prevented or eliminated.
